Arik Levy was born 1963 in Tel Aviv. In 1986 he participated in two environmental sculpture exhibitions. At the age of 27 he left his studio and surfshop behind. He graduated in Industrial Design at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland in 1991, in the same year he won the Seiko Epson Inc. Design Competition in Japan. Several design exhibitions in the same country were to follow, where he introduced his innovative ideas, concepts and installations. Returning back to Europe in 1992, he began lecturing at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Creation Industrielle / Les Ateliers in Paris and led a number of designworkshops at universities all over Europe. Creating a modern dance stage for the Grand Theatre de Genève led to several commissions for stage designs.
1997 saw the founding of "L Design" together with Pippo Lionni.
Arik can be seen as a poetic scientist. Innovation, simplicity and experimentation let him create and carry out projects and studies in the field of industrial and product design, corporate identity, packaging as well as exhibition booth and shop styling.
