The timeless charm of the Verner Panton Geometri

Geometri - Circles & Squares

In the world of interior design, there are pieces that stand the test of time. The Geometri design was originally developed for the Astoria hotel/restaurant in Trondheim, Norway, and is certainly one of Verner Panton's best-known textile designs today. The pattern consists of circles and squares arranged in various proportions to create a total work of art.

Development of the carpet

After several years of development, the Geometri carpet has been added to the Verner Panton collection. The Geometri appears in a retro look with coarse wool yarns, which reflects the 60s. The coarse yarns give the design a playful look. During development, various versions were discarded until the Geometri got the perfect look.

"The production of this carpet is a great challenge. The selection of the yarn as well as the pile height and density require special knowledge and care in production" explains Stefan Drechsle.

The Geometri carpet convinces with its versatility. It blends effortlessly into modern and contemporary interiors. Its clean lines and geometric patterns give the room a sense of order and structure, creating a harmonious balance between simplicity and complexity.
