Custom-made carpets in master hands
Designercarpets Drechsle stands for high-quality hand-made carpets. Each carpet is commissioned in joint development, without any mass production. Designercarpets Drechsle produces carpets and kilims for private individuals, hotels, public spaces, shipyards and individual projects in close cooperation with international designers and architectural firms. In addition, Designercarpets Drechsle has the official license for timeless carpet designs by Verner Panton, Gertrud Arndt/Bauhaus, Carmen Stallbaumer and many other international designers.
Tradition & Partnership
The production facilities are located in the countries of the Orient and the Far East. The main production site is in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The collaboration is based equally on the strengths of the respective partners and on long-term cooperation. Personal contact is very important; constant discussions, joint developments and friendships form the basis of the craft partnerships that have existed for over 30 years.

The third-generation family business is located in the southern German border triangle (Lörrach, Basel, and Mulhouse). A passion for traditional craftsmanship combined with innovative design and high quality standards unites all Designercarpets employees.

showroom in Lörrach
The DESIGNERCARPETS showroom is located in Lörrach, in the border triangle with Basel and Mulhouse. Verner Panton carpets can be seen on the Vitra Campus in the VitraHaus, along with other carpets such as kilims for the Vitra Suita sofa by Antonio Citterio. This unique, hand-woven flatweave from northern Persia was designed exclusively for the exhibition in the VitraHaus. Designercarpets Drechsle is represented by international retailers.
