The formation of a pattern
The soul of Felho lies in its unique origin. The design is part of the Morpho collection , which focuses on the dialogue between printing techniques and woven grid structures with textile printing.
A dialogue of fibers: silk, linen and wool
In creating Felho, Nagy and Designercarpets Drechsle deliberately employed a contrast of materials to bring the print to life. The lines are knotted from undyed Himalayan wool, while the fields are woven from a blend of silk and linen yarn. This choice creates a captivating visual tension.
Echoing the original print, the linen and silk fields irregularly interrupt the wool lines. This subtle interplay breaks up the linearity and ensures that each rug remains a living, breathing work of art, not a sterile repetition.
Sustainable luxury
By using natural yarns, Felho stands as a testament to sustainable luxury. The organic interplay of the fibers creates a deep color palette that adapts to the light in any room and offers a calm, sophisticated elegance characteristic of Finnish design.
