Product information "Verner Panton - Astoria Coral"
Two color combinations possible: the VP Astoria Coral, in a warm coral red on a subtle ivory ground; the VP Astoria Greige in a beige broken with gray, also on ivory. The patterns of both rugs are identical and consist of color-changing squares laid out in a checkerboard pattern. A quiet pattern in itself. The highlight are the smaller and cornered squares, which fill exactly 7 x 7 squares and then only again the next but one 7 x 7 squares with the opposite color. Large squares are thus wrested from the calm chessboard, with its evenly horizontal and vertical rows. A simple graphic trick with visual impact that reflects Panton's distinctive artistry and his passion for shapes and colors.
