"The Art of Living" combines contemporary and classic furniture, art, and objects into a curated interior without appearing cold. The space is divided into an eat-in kitchen, living room, and home office, with highlights in fine materials such as a kitchen by Jean Nouvel, furniture by Charles and Ray Eames and Jean Prouvé, and art photography by Scheltens & Abbenes.

Developed in collaboration with interior stylist Connie Hüsser, the REFLECT kitchen was designed by Jean Nouvel for Reform.

Carpets in this project

The Soft Medium Pile rug was custom-made for this project. A timeless masterpiece from the Designercarpets Drechsle collection. The yarn is hand-dyed, knotted around a metal rod using the traditional Tibetan knotting technique, and finally cut to the exact size and overlocked by hand.

The second rug is a vintage piece from our collection. The checkerboard pattern is a traditional Tibetan pattern. In softly contrasting shades of green, the natural color variation of the Himalayan wool showcases its full beauty. This rug was also hand-knotted in Nepal. After the wool yarn is hand-spun, the rug is knotted on a vertical loom. Approximately 160,000 knots are created per square meter.
