We are very pleased to announce a special film: “Woven into Time”, a documentary by Marie Sutter, is dedicated to the world of knotting and the people who preserve this traditional craft with passion and dedication.
The film takes us to places where textile handcraft is not just a profession, but part of a centuries-old culture and way of life. Between craft, tradition and the question of how this knowledge can evolve in our modern times.
For us at Designercarpets Drechsle, this topic is of particular importance. Our carpets are created in close connection with traditional craft techniques and the knowledge of generations. Each hand-knotted carpet tells its own story – from the natural materials to the spinning and dyeing of the yarns to the careful work at the loom.
